HARRIS, RONALD "RON" H. - Ronald "Ron" H. Harris, 65, of Moncton, with his family at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday August 5, 2009. Born in Yarmouth, NS, he was the son of the late Howard and Marjorie (Ellis) Harris. Ron was retired from the Canadian Armed Forces (Air Force) with 32 years service, having served in Canada, Germany, Egypt and Syria. He later retired from the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires (Moncton) with 12 years service. Ron was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch #6 and the Beaver Curling Club. An avid curler, he enjoyed golfing, playing basketball (at a young age), working on his property, watching all sports on TV and spending quality time with his family. Ron will be sadly missed by his wife of 41 years, Susan (Gilmour); daughter, Laura Harris (Dany Langlais), Calgary, AB; sons, David (Katherine), Michael (Tammy), both of Calgary; grandchildren, Daniel, Chase, Ronan, Hannah, Brooklyn; sister, Joan Fulton (Albert), Merigomish, NS; mother and father-in-law, David and Mary Gilmour, Bridgewater, NS; several nieces and nephews.
