SMITH, WALTER BERNARD - 86, passed away on July 12th, 2009. Born in Elgin, NB, he was the son of William and Lulu Smith. He is survived by his wife Alice; son Glen (Shannon); daughter Berna (Jiri); grandsons Joshua (Jeanette), Jared (Aggie) and great grandson Jacob. Also by brothers Edwin (Agnes), Harold (Winnifred), Winston (Eileen) and sister Carol Bartol (John). Predeceased by sisters Edna, Dorothy, Mary and brothers George, Kenneth and Robert. Walter served in the Navy during WWII and later in "D" Division of the RCMP. A celebration of Walter's life was held July 23rd in North Vancouver, B.C.
