GRAY, HELEN C. - 1908 - 2009 - Miramichi - Helen Cora Gray, widow of the late Roy A. Gray, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi, and formerly of Douglastown, passed away at her residence, on Monday, August 17, 2009, at the age of 100. Born in Black River Bridge, on December 8, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Alexander S. and Sybella (McKnight) Cameron. She was a homemaker and a teacher, by profession, teaching in many local area schools for twenty-four years. She was a dedicated member of St. Marks United Church, Miramichi; a life member of the U.C.W. of St. Marks Church. She is survived by one sister, Carolyn Richardson, of Coral Gables, Florida; as well as one niece and one nephew, Nancy and Kenneth; her best friend and longtime caregiver, Shirley Williston. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy, in 2002; two sisters, Vera Cameron and Sybil Anderson. By her request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The public are invited to attend a memorial graveside service to be held at St. Marks United Church Cemetery, Miramichi, on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at 10 am, conducted by Rev. Ross Wiseman. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
