1941-2008 Tarzana, Calif./Port Morien, C.B. Donnie died at home on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, after a brief battle with cancer. Don was raised in Port Morien, a village he loved. He joined the Canadian Army (Armored Corp.) at age 18 and served three years including a year's tour of duty with the United Nations peacekeepers in Egypt. On release from the forces in 1961, Don joined his family who had moved to California the previous year. Don was predeceased by his first wife, Deanna, his parents, Ewen and Marjorie (Barlow) MacDonald and brother, Kent. Don is survived by second wife, Maggie; son, Andy; daughter, Marissa; grandchildren and sister, Lorena Boyle. Burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery, L.A., Friday, Dec. 5, 2008. Donations to a charity of choice.
