FONTAINE, PHILIP - Philip Fontaine, 95, formerly of Notre-Dame passed away on Friday, September 4th, 2009 at the Villa Providence, Shediac. Born April 21st, 1914 in McDougall Settlement, he was the son of the late Alphée and Olive (LeBlanc) Fontaine. He is survived by three daughters: Carmella Surette of Grande Digue, Anne Fontaine of Notre-Dame and Gracia Fontaine (Richard Léger) of Shediac; four sons: Donald (Mildred) of Cocagne, Alcide (Jeanne) of Saint-Louis, Léo of Grande-Digue, Gérard "Gerry" (Gladys) of Notre-Dame; one sister Lorraine Cormier of Saint-Antoine, one brother Emery Fontaine of Cocagne, a former daughter in law Léona Fontaine, and by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Lorette (LeBlanc) Fontaine (February 4th, 2009), a son Alcide, a grandson Vincent, four sisters: Edna, Delphine, Ida, Dora and five brothers: Clovis, Eric, Livain, Emile and William. Visitation on Monday, September 7th, from 2 pm at Frenette's Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) from where the funeral service will be held at 4 pm.
