ROWLEY EDWARD POWER

POWER, ROWLEY EDWARD - Rowley Edward Power of Riverview passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009. Born in Saint John, NB on April 24th, 1914, he was the son of the late Oliver and Laura (Ricker) Power. Rowley was formerly employed with Steeves Motors and in his later years with Dobson Construction of Riverview. A Veteran of WWII, he served overseas in England. He was a member of the Whitepine United Baptist Church in Riverview. He is survived by a brother, Leo Power (Audrey) of Lower Coverdale; four sisters, Sadie Constantine of Moncton, Eileen Fenton of Saint John, Amy Rea of Moncton and Emma Gross (Clyde) of Riverview. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Power (Mills); brothers, Hansel and Gordon; sisters, Nellie Kendrick and Effie Milton. Rowley will be dearly missed by his family and friends, several nieces and nephews including Dennis Power and Sandy Fletcher with whom he resided and was cared by. The family will receive relatives and friends at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday from 7 to 9, the Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association will hold a memorial service Thursday evening at 6:45 pm from the funeral home. The funeral service will take place at Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 11th, 2009 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Frank Trail officiating, followed by a reception at the funeral home. The interment will take place at the Wesleyan Union Cemetery. Donation to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
