BELLIVEAU, SISTER EMMA, RHSJ - Sister Emma Belliveau, rhsj passed away on Wednesday, 9th, September, 2009 at the infirmary of the Notre Dame de l'Assomption residence of the Religieuses Hospitalières de St. Joseph, Vallée Lourdes Drive in Bathurst at the age of 90 and in her 68th year of religious community life. Born in Saint Paul de Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Basile Belliveau and the late Pulchérie Cormier. Sister Emma Belliveau was the last living member of her immediate family. Besides her congregation, she is survived by many nieces and nephews whom she dearly cherished. Sister Emma Belliveau entered the order of the Religieuses Hospitalières de St-Joseph on September 12th, 1939, and as taken her vows to the order on September 8th, 1941. Sister Emma has worked in various hospitals of the order such as the Hotel Dieu of Sorel, QC, Hotel Dieu in Lamèque, NB and the Enfant Jésus hospital in Caraquet, NB as a radiology technician and also in the cardiology laboratory. She also was a department supervisor at the Notre Dame de Lourdes sanatorium in Bathurst. With her multiple artistic talents, Sister Emma as contributed to many projects of her community. The body is resting at the Notre de l'Assomption Residence, 2144 Vallée- Lourdes Drive in Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be held from the Religieuses Hospitalières' Chapel, Friday, September 11th, 2009 at 2 pm. Visiting hours are: Friday, September 11th, 9 am until time of funeral at 2 pm.
