ROGER SAULNIER

SAULNIER, ROGER - 1925 - 2009 - Roger Saulnier, 83 of Foyer Saint- Antoine and formerly of Saint-Antoine, has passed away at the residence after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009. Born in Notre-Dame on September 18th, 1925, he was the son of the late Camille and the late Année (Collette) Saulnier. Roger worked for approximately 25 years as a machine operator for W.H. Nickels of Waltham, Mass. He was also a member of the Saint-Antoine Golden Age Club. He leaves to mourn him a very special friend, Rosa Boucher of Saint-Antoine; his four children, Doris Arsenault (Alvin) of Moncton, Clarence of Melbourne, Fl., Fernand (Fernande) of Saint-Antoine, Emerie (Joanne) of Maynard, Mass., and their mother, Thérèse Gaudet of Melbourne, Fl. He also leaves to mourn his ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Melissa (1996). He was the last surviving member of a large family. Visitation will be held at the Saint- Antoine l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Friday, September 18th, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Saturday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Antoine Church on Saturday, September 19th, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur Cemetery, Notre-Dame. In Roger's memory donations can be made to the Foyer Saint-Antoine or to the Parkinson Society.
