DANAHY, JAMES ADAM - "Jake" , "Shady" - 1988-2009 - Jake Danahy, 21, of Moncton and formerly of Alma passed away suddenly on September 23, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital. Jake was born in Moncton on June 30, 1988 the son of James and Kelly (White) Danahy. Jake worked at ADT Security for a while where he was promoted to Team Leader, he worked in Alma on the fishing boats and was last working at the Times & Transcript. Jake was well respected by his bosses and was very polite, smart and people oriented, he was the type of guy they were proud to have on payroll. He was very talented and had composed many poems and rap songs. He spent many hours skateboarding. Jake had a rough few years but was getting his life back on track getting his GED this past June. He was truly a great guy who had many friends and lived life to the fullest. Above all things he really enjoyed times he spent with his brother and sister, he has left them with great memories and the knowledge that he cared about them greatly, he will remain in their hearts forever. "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near." He will be deeply missed by his parents, James and Kelly of Alma; brother, Zak and sister, Mandi both at home in Alma; his maternal grandparents, Nancy White and Royce Monteith of Shenstone who were very close to Jake; his uncle, Tim and aunt Bev White of Shenstone; aunts, Beverly Steeves and Darlene Danahy both of Riverside-Albert and by his special friend, Sarah. He will also be sadly missed by his great aunts and uncles, cousins and by many good friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, James and Margaret Danahy. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with the Funeral Service on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dan Steeves officiating. Interment will be held in the Shenstone Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Shenstone Cemetery or the Bennett and Albert County Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
