DALEY, NORA MARIE - Nora Marie Daley, wife of John (Jack) Daley, of Riverside Drive, Miramichi, passed away at her residence following a brief illness on Sunday, September 27, 2009, at the age of 70. Born in Grand Falls, NB on February 28, 1939, Nora was the daughter of Wilmot and Lilliane (Poitras) Vasseur. She was a 1960 graduate of Hotel Dieu Nursing School and a member of St Michael's Basilica in Miramichi. Nora Marie Daley is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jack; two sons, Rick (Holly) and Greg (Anne) both of Miramichi; brother, Richard (Louise) of North Bay, Ontario; and much loved grandchildren, Peter, Paul, Ronnie, and Evan. Nora Marie Daley is predeceased by her parents, Wilmot and Liliane, and infant son, Allan. Mrs. Nora Marie Daley will be resting at Maher's Funeral Home, University Ave, Miramichi, with visitation on Wednesday, September 30th from 7 to 9, and Thursday, October 1st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 2nd at 11:00 from St. Michael's Basilica in Miramichi, with Father John Fraser officiating. Honorary pallbearers: Buddy Keating, Norine Hogan, Carmel Williams, Lil Williston, Rose Marquis, Theresa Johnson, Grace Fraser, Barb Langille, Maurie and Dawn Bell, Vern and Joyce Potter, Darryl and Joyce MacTavish, Jack and Elsie Upham, Adrian and Liz Woods, Dr. and Mrs. Tan, Brian and Caroline Duffy, John and Mona Lordon. Pallbearers: grandsons Peter and Paul Daley; nephews: Andy Daley, Scott Daley, Bobby Daley and David Daley Burial will follow in St. Michael's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lifting of the Stone or a charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
