GOGUEN, ODILON J. - 72, of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Résidence Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur where he resided. Born June 26, 1937 in Notre-Dame, he was the son of the late Robert and Lina (Poirier) Goguen. Odilon worked as a Linotypist for the newspaper L'Évangéline until end of publication in 1982. He was a past member of the Moncton Curling Association and the Moncton Lawn Bowling Club. He is survived by his wife, Claudette (Brun) Goguen of Dieppe; his son, Robert (Yvette Melanson) of Dieppe; two sisters, Sr. Zelma Goguen of Elsipogtog and Zita Goguen of Moncton. He is predeceased by three infant brothers, Jean-Louis, Édouard and Jean-Philippe. The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until time of departure (9:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sainte-Thérèse R.C. Church, Dieppe on Saturday, October 3 at 10 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
