Tena Hickey
93, Margaree/Sydney It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our sister and aunt, Christena 'Tena' Ainslie Hickey, 93, former resident of Marlborough Avenue, Sydney and for the past nine years a resident of Margaree where she lived with her nephew and his wife Carl and Helena Hart. Tena passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born in Belle Cote, Inverness County, she was a daughter of the late Hanlen and Jessie (MacKay) Munro. Tena attended St. Andrew United Church, Sydney and also St. Matthew Wesley United Church, North Sydney. She is survived by sisters, Isabel (Joe) Stasiuk, Portage La Prairie, Gladys (Glen) Bristow, Toronto; and by a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Hickey, sisters, Ruth Young, Mary Hart, Lettie Vair and by a brother, Edward Munro. No visitation by request. A graveside committal service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney at later date. Arrangements entrusted to the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
