MARANDA, ROSE - 1922 - 2009 Rose Maranda, 87 of Résidence Au Bénaise, Saint-Antoine and formerly of Cocagne, has passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Monday, October 5th, 2009. She was married to the late Gerard Maranda (1995). Born in Grande-Digue on July 8th, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and the late Marie (Brun) Brun. Rose's main interest in life was to raise her ten children, knitting and going to Bingo. She leaves to mourn her eight children, Claudette Goguen of Dieppe, Léon (Yvette) of Sainte-Anne de Kent, Armand (Lucille) of Nevada, Donald of West Palm Beach, Fl., Jean-Paul (Ruth) of Largo, Fl., Jeanette Maranda of Saint-Antoine, Dianne Sullivan (Leo) of Methuen, Mass., Doris Coraccia (Guy) of Westford, Mass.; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Virginie Fougère of Shediac, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Marie and Corinne; three sisters, Elizabeth, Emma and Exelda; and two brothers, Frederick and Jadus. Visitation will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Wednesday, October 7th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Thursday from 9 to 10:15 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cocagne Church on Thursday, October 8th, 2009 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Rose's memory donations can be made to the Dr. Georges-L.
