LAURIE "JOE" LEBLANC

LEBLANC, LAURIE "JOE" - Laurie "Joe" LeBlanc, 88, formerly of Saint- André, LeBlanc passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the Villa Providence, Shediac. Born July 12, 1921 in Saint-André, he was the son of the late Eustache and Emilienne (McGraw) LeBlanc. Joe was a carpenter by trade and a World War II Veteran with the Royal Canadian Army. He was a member of Club d'âge d'or in Cap- Pelé. He is survived by four daughters, Yvonne LeBlanc (Raymond), Phelena McNeill (Ken) and Camilla Hébert (Camille) all of Saint-André-LeBlanc, Joanne Kenny (Jimmy) of Anderson Settlement; three sons, Edgar (Lota) of Bas Cap-Pelé, Paul-Émile (Norma) of Haute-Aboujagane and Jacques "Jimmy" (Yvette) of Cap-Pelé; one sister, Diana Comeau of Shediac; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and by many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Dorice (Pellerin) LeBlanc (2007), he is also predeceased by two sisters, Imelda and Henriette and by five brothers, August, Sifroid, Arthur, Johnny and Léonard LeBlanc. Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, from 9:30 am until time of departure 10:20 am. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. If so desired, donations in Joe's memory to a charitable organization of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
