JOHNSON, HENRY SEWARD - age 96, of Sackville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at his home while surrounded by his family. Born in Westcock, in 1912, he was a son of the late Seward and Mary (Clarke) Johnson. Henry loved bowling, was a life member of the Sackville Golf Club and was an honorary member of the Tantramar Twirlers Square Dance Club. He will be sadly missed by his wife Nellie Johnson, Sackville; 3 sons, Stanely (Sandra), Sackville, Allan (Doreen), Sackville, Henry Jr. (Sharon), Ancaster, ON; 2 daughters, Dianna Hunter (Douglas), Stoney Creek, ON, Betty Sprague (Leslie), Dartmouth, NS; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by 6 brothers, Herbert, Johnny, Norman, Donald, Medley, Bill; 6 sisters, Lena Snowdon, Dora Crossman, Aida Moriarty, Ethel Moore, Louise Wry and Pearl Johnson. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place from the Jones Funeral Home on Monday, October 12, 2009 at 2 pm, Pastor Andrew Swanson officiating. Burial will follow in the Sackville Cemetery.
