MACIVER , JOAN M. - Joan M. MacIver, 78, of Moncton, with her family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Born in Dominion, NS, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Marie (Campbell) MacLean. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of Humphrey Memorial United Church, enjoyed playing cards, Rummoli, doing needlepoint and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, who gave her great joy. Joan will be sadly missed by her daughters, Janice MacIver (Jean Charles Moreau), Carol Donovan (Kevin), both of Riverview; son, Keith MacIver (Debbie), Moncton; grandchildren, Jennifer Mulherin (Kenny), Katie, Brennen, Nicholas; brother, Campbell MacLean (Sylvia), Blues Mills, NS; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Stewart (March 2003) and one brother, Neil. In keeping with Joan's wishes, there will be no public visitation hours. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Thursday, October 22, 2009, 1:30 pm, Rev. Gayle MacDonald and Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
