ROY, OMER JOSEPH - The death of Omer Joseph Roy of Minto, NB occurred Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Chalmer's Regional Hospital. Born in Ste. Marie, Kent Co. he was the son of the late Edward and Mathilda (LeBlanc) Roy. Survived by his loving wife Maria (LeBlanc) Roy; a son, Len Roy (Trudy) of Moncton, NB; their daughter, Kristy Roy (Chad); daughters, Alice Atkins (Dan) of Fredericton, NB; their son, Connor Atkins, Jeannette Roy of Fredericton, NB; her sons, Matthew and Andrew Washburn; one great grandson, Riley; two brothers, Yvon Roy (Maria) of Moncton, NB and Jim Roy (Carol) of Minto, NB; four sisters, Emma Richard (Len) of Moncton, NB, Louise Robichaud (Leonard) of Minto, NB, Maria Hebert of Saint John, NB and Florence Gallant of Moncton, NB; sister-in-law, Adrianne Roy of Saint John, NB; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Omer was predeceased by brothers, Frank and Norman; sisters, Lea and Nelida; brother-in-laws, Jacque, Leo, Joseph and Alban; sister-in-law, Irene. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Saturday, October 31, 2009 from Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
