
RONALD ALLISON LEWIS
LEWIS, RONALD ALLISON - 84, of Salisbury, passed away at the Moncton Hospital, Friday evening, October 30, 2009. Ronald, born August 14, 1925 in Monteagle a son of the late Ralph and Nellie (Lewis) Lewis. He was a retired Senior Clerk of Car Control with CNR with over 38 years service and was a Veteran of World War II. Ronald was an active member of Salisbury Baptist Church, a former deacon, Sunday School teacher and a trustee. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and spending summers in Alma. Survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Muriel (Horsman); five children, Gaven (June) of Upper Coverdale, Brenda Leaman (Gary) of Boundardy Creek, Peggy Lewis of Salisbury, Cynthia Saunders (Clayton) of Barnsville, Roxanne Kyle (Stephen) of Sussex; grandchildren, Sheldon, Bradley, Rian, Kirk, Lindsay- Anne, Gidget, Brent, Katrina, Tiffany, Timothy, Mitchell, Michaila; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, Kermit of Petitcodiac, Grant (Kaye) of Milton, ON; sister, Helen Lewis of Monteagle; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Clayton, Peter and Omar and sister, Annie Budd. Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held from the Salisbury Baptist Church Tuesday, November 3 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery.
