DAVIS, JOHN "JACK" E. - John "Jack" E. Davis, 81, of Moncton with his wife Pauline by his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, November 8, 2009. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Beck) Davis. Jack was retired from CNR Freight with over 38 years service, attended Humphrey Memorial United Church and was a member of the C.N.R. Pensioner's Association. He enjoyed the outdoors, canoeing, doing word puzzles, reading, watching all sports on television, spending time in past years at the trailer in McKees Mills and enjoyed spending precious time with his family. Jack will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 56 years, Pauline (Kay) Davis; daughter, Susan Davis (Terry Harper), Midgic; sons, Peter, Moncton; Brian (Diane), Dieppe; Jim (Bea), Halifax; John, Moncton; David (Wendy), Moncton; grandchildren, Pat, Christopher, Logan and Layla; brother, Tom (Maureen), Halifax; sisters, Eleanor Dysart (late Bob), Moncton; Faith Richard (John), Perth, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, predeceased by brother, Darrell and sister, Nancy. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road Moncton (858-1995), Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
