GALLANT, CALIXTE "CAL" J. - Calixte "Cal" J. Gallant, 64, of Lakeville-Westmorland Co., with his loving family by his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Born in Haute Aboujagane, he was the son of Lauraine (LeBlanc) Gallant of Shediac and the late Alban Gallant. Cal was a retired taxi driver with Air Cab Moncton (over 45 years service), enjoyed playing cards, horse racing, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Cal will be sadly missed by his wife of over 36 years, Bardena (Rushton) Gallant; sons, David Irving (Trish); Danny James; Wayne (Cynthia); Danny Calixte; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Jeannita Boudreau (Adrien); Rita Doiron (Gerald); Bertha Richard (Samuel); Delina Gallant (Gilles); Diana Gallant (Freddie); brothers, Alverie Gallant (Jeannette); Ullysse Gallant (Donnah); Joseph Gallant; Camille Gallant; Alfred Gallant (Florence); Laurie Gallant (Francine); several nieces, nephews and other extended family. In addition to his father, predeceased by his son, Lenny (Jan.1997). In keeping with Cal's wishes, no visitation by personal request.
