BOYD W. DUNNETT
DUNNETT, BOYD W. - Boyd W. Dunnett, 78, of McNair Manor and formerly of Richmond Ave., Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Born in Sillikers, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Mildred (Matchett) Dunnett. Boyd was a retired plumber, a member of Sunny Brae Baptist Church, a former Deacon of the Church and was a member of the Men's Fellowship Group and the Boys Brigade. He was a member of the Moncton Fish and Game Association and Tie Flying Group. Boyd had a passion for fishing and hunting at his camp in the Miramichi. He loved telling stories, writing poems, sketching and was known for his "Tilley Hat". Most importantly, Boyd enjoyed spending precious time with his family and friends. Boyd will be sadly missed by his loving wife of over 54 years, Nancy (MacTavish) Dunnett; daughters, Ruth Dunnett, Moncton, Charyl Hatchard (Brian), Stellarton, NS, Juanita Amende (Bob), Dauphin, MB; sons, Rob Dunnett (Rachel), Moncton and Stephen Dunnett (Tracey), Riverview; brother, Ingles Dunnett (Ella), Sunny Corner; grandchildren, Derek, Dale, Daniel, Darla, Daniel, Katelyn, Isaac; great grandchildren, Ethan, Hannah, Kiera, Aiden, Austin; several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, David, Mervin, Hollie, William, Wilbur and sisters, Josephine, Verna, Annie. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, November 14, 2009, 11:00 am, Rev. Cecil Symes and Rev. Colin Cook officiating.
