BELLIVEAU, YVON - 73, of Scoudouc, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by the ones he loved. Born October 12, 1936 in Scoudouc, he was the only son of Hermas and Jeanne (Cormier) Belliveau. He was a loving husband of 49 years to Jeannita (Roy) Belliveau and a devoted father to his one daughter, Janice Belliveau of Pointe du Chêne, and his two sons: Rhéal and Raould (Natalie) both of Scoudouc. Yvon loved life and will be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to cross his path. He was a current member of the club de roulottes voyageurs, the Scoudouc Golden Age Club and former member of the board of directors of the Caisse Populaire of Scoudouc. He was retired from School District #1 as a school bus driver following 35 years of service. The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure at 10:40 a.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur Roman Catholic Church, Scoudouc on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Yvon, a contribution to the Oncology Department of the Dr. Georges -L. Dumont Hospital or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
