GAUTREAU, IRENE - of Domaine de la Vallee, Memramcook (formerly of Gautreau Village) passed away on November 19, 2009 at the Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital at the age of 88. Born on January 8, 1921 in Gautreau Village, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe Melanson and the late Emma Belliveau. She worked in housekeeping at the Institut de Memramcook until her retirement. She was a member of Golden Age Club of Pre-D'en-Haut. She is survived by her daughter Denise (Gerald Belliveau) LeBlanc of Gautreau Village, one brother Yvon (late Bernice) Melanson of St-Joseph, five grand- children Janice (Terry), Chantal (Gilles), Sonia, Jolyne (Michel) and Marc (Cindy), eight great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alyre, three sisters Eva, Lorette and Exilia and four brothers Eugene, Alyre, Fred and Gerald. Visitations will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Friday November 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday November 21 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pre-D'en-Haut on Saturday November 21 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
