GLENDA ANN SAVARY
SAVARY, GLENDA ANN - 1946-2009 - Glenda Ann Savary, 63, of Hillsborough passed away suddenly on November 21st, 2009 at her residence. Glenda was born in Moncton on June 14th, 1946 the daughter of the late Glendon and Eleanor (Milton) Simpson. In her early years she enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, ceramics, and canoeing/camping with extended family. In her retirement years she and her husband joined the Hillsborough Golf Club and became avid golfers while co-ordinating the Club's junior program in it's early phases. Glenda's life devotion was to her family, especially her grandsons, they were often the topic of conversation each holding a special place in her heart. She was a member of First Hillsborough Baptist Church. She was employed part-time with Dominion Stores [West Main, Moncton] from 1972-1995, and very much enjoyed the multitude of people she met working with the general public. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Louella Woodworth (Rick) of Moncton and Jennifer Savary (Phil) of Barachois; her cherished grandsons, Nick, Kenton, Konnor, Jackson, Jake and Ben; sisters, Diane Geldart (Vincent) and Susan Steeves (John) both of Edgett's Landing; brother, Grant Simpson (Peggy) of Hillsborough. She will also be missed by her father-in-law, Louis R. Savary of Moncton; sisters-in-law, Gwen MacKnight of Saint John and Lorraine Savary of Moncton; brother-in-law, Phil Savary (Janet) of Riverview; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis W. Savary (2003); her mother-in-law, Muriel Savary; sister, Phyllis and brothers, Robert and Gordon. The family will be meeting with relatives and friends for a time of visitation, sharing of memories and for refreshments prior to the funeral service on Wednesday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Albert County Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dean MacDonald officiating. Interment will be held in the Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton. In lieu of flowers donations to the IWK Children's Hospital Foundation, Ronald MacDonald House, Canadian Mental Health Association or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
