MELVIN, LORNE L. - Lorne L. Melvin, 75, of Riverview, passed away on arrival at The Moncton Hospital following a sudden illness on Sunday, November 22, 2009. Born in Shaw Brook, he was the son of the late William and Annie (Fairweather) Melvin. Lorne was retired from Baxter Dairies (milk delivery) and in his retirement, became an avid hobby farmer. Lorne will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Norma (Roulston) Melvin; daughter, Sue Curwin (Mike), Moncton; sons, Al (Sue), Cole Harbour, NS, David, Riverview; precious granddaughter, Amanda; several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Viva, Beulah, Mabel, Lois; brothers, William, John, Jim, Arnold, Gerald, Zeke, Ralph, Reg, Don. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Tuesday, 7 to 9 pm.
