CORMIER, ALYRE - 1925 - 2009 Alyre Cormier, 83 of Bouctouche, husband of Léona (Duplessis) Cormier, has passed away after a lengthy illness, on Thursday November 26th, 2009 at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent. Born in Bouctouche on December 19th, 1925, he was the son of the late Eddée and the late Hélène (LeBlanc) Cormier. Alyre was a WW11 veteran. He was a lumberman, a fisherman and worked as a genitor for Canada Post, Bouctouche for approximately 16 yrs. He will be sadly missed by his wife Léona of 56 years, his seven children, Dorilla LeBlanc (Jean-Paul), Joanne Thibodeau (Elzéar), Raymond, Gerald, Jean-Paul (Ethel), Victor, Léo (Pauline) all of Bouctouche, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, Bradley, Ryan and vieux pépère to Camie. He also leaves to mourn one sister, Dorilla Goguen (Lewis) of Kitchener, ON, three brothers, Edgar, Jean-Philippe both of Bouctouche, André (Louise) of Saint-Edouard de Kent, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three sisters, Bertha, Eva, Louisa and one brother, Edouard. Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Sunday November 29th from 7 to 9 and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Monday November 30th, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Alyre's memory donations can be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
