LEBLANC, ALCIDE - 1921 - 2009 Alcide LeBlanc, 88 of Bouctouche, husband of Jeanne (Léger), has passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, at the Dr Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Sunday, November 29th, 2009. Born in Moncton on October 27th, 1921, he was the son of the late Donat and the late Mélina (Cormier) LeBlanc. Alcide was a carpenter by trade. A WWII Veteran, and a life member of the Bouctouche Branch 43 Royal Canadian Legion. He will be sadly missed by his wife Jeanne, five step-daughters, Linda Allain (Eloi) of Bedec, Ginette Richard of Sainte-Anne de Kent, Denise Babineau (Jean-Claude), Cécile Bastarache (Gerard), Bernadette Melanson (Gerald) all of Bouctouche, one grandson, seven step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren, four sisters, Irene Collette (Lionel) of Bouctouche, Marie-Jeanne Totolinsky (Max) of Sudbury, ON, Hélèna Maillet (Antoine) of Shirley, Mass, Doris Maillet of Moncton, two brothers, Patrick (Zella), Aubrey both of Bouctouche, and several nephews and nieces. Alcide was predeceased by his first wife Alice Bourque (1981), his son Ronald (2001), four sisters, Yvonne, Aline, Anita, Exelda, and three brothers, Aquilla, Cloris, and Alonzo. Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche, on Tuesday, December 1st, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Wednesday, December 2nd from 12:30 to 1: 45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in the Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Saint- Anselme. In Alcide's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L. Dumont Foundation or to the Saint-Jean Baptiste parish.
