MELANSON, IRENE - 93, of Dr. V.A. Snow Senior Residence in Hampton, passed away on Friday December 4, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born April 4, 1916 in Notre-Dame, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Julienne (Richard) LeBlanc. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Holmes (John) of Hampton; her grandson, Jason, as well as many nephews and nieces. Besides her husband, Denis Melanson, she was predeceased by her brothers: Edgar and Georges "Georgie"; her sisters: Lucie, Alice, Eva and Clara. By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Monday December 7 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
