BLAKNEY, RUTH VIVIAN - 89, of Intervale, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on December 10, 2009. Born in Intervale, she was a daughter of the late Lorne and Mamie Goddard. Ruth had worked at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home and the Jordan Lifecare Centre. Ruth is survived by her husband of 66 years, Murray Blakney; her sons: David and Richard, both of Intervale; and by her great-grandson Kyle Blakney of Moncton. Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her sister, Nellie Colpitts; her brothers: Ottie Goddard and Heber Goddard; and by her grandson, Andrew Blakney. There will not be a time of visitation as per Ruth's request. Arrangements have entrusted to the care of Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac, from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday December 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev.
