SIMONS, MARTHA LEOLA - 1923-2009 - The death of Martha (Duncan) Simons occurred December 20th, 2009 at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home. Born in Lewis Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Duncan and Lela (Ripley) Duncan. Survived by her daughter Patricia Ryan of Saint Charles, N.B., sister Freda Steeves of Antigonish N.S., brothers, Walter Duncan of Kelowna B.C., and Roy of Edmonton, Alberta. Also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Martha was also loved and will be dearly missed by her extended family in Bass River, NB, and she'll be forever in our hearts. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter Judy and son Ormand, brothers Ormand, Wendell, Delbert, Raymond, Robert and Thornton, and sisters Eva & Mona. There will be no visitation prior to the memorial service to be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, December 29th at Lewis Mountain United Baptist Church, 5973 Route 880, Lewis Mountain, NB. Donations to the Rexton Lions Nursing Home or a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
