
TILMON J. SURETTE
SURETTE, TILMON J. - 1928-2009 - Deceased at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, December 25th 2009 following a long illness. Born in Dieppe (formerly known as Leger's Corner) on November 5th 1928. Son of the late Clifford and the Léontine (Melanson) Surette. Predeceased by his wife, Amanda (Payne) in January 2000 and his sister, Yvonne Surette in April 1972. Will be sadly missed by his loving sister, Rita (Gérard) LeBlanc of Dieppe, his sons: Guy (Joceline), Dieppe, André (Carmelle), Fall River, NS, Richard (Tanya), Fredericton; his daughters: Doris (Ken) Taylor, Lower Coverdale and Anne (Michel) Cormier, Fredericton; six grandchildren: Jason (Tosh) Taylor, Julie Surette, Denis (Sky) Cormier, Luc Cormier, Mélanie Surette and Brigitte Surette and two great grandchildren: Savanah and Lucas Cormier. Employed with Dickie's Radio and Electric, later known as Hi-Lite Electric, as an Electrician and served on the Provincial Board of Electricians Advisory Committee for Apprentices and was President of Local 1555 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Retired in 1988 as Instructor, NBCC-Moncton Campus. Tilmon was an avid coin and stamp collector, enjoyed building models especially vintages airplanes, woodworking and was a member of the Club D'Age d'Or de Dieppe/Golden Age Club. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901), to whom funeral arrangements have been entrusted, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 10 am until time of departure. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation will be greatly appreciated. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Ste.-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Acadie Ave, Dieppe, NB on Wednesday, December 30th, 2009 at 11 am. Interment in the Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Reception will follow at the Dieppe Golden Age Club/Club d'Age d'Or de Dieppe. www.chartersville.com
