
NANCY FAYE TINGLEY
TINGLEY, NANCY FAYE - 1947-2009 - The family of Nancy Faye (Black) Tingley wish to announce that after a truly courageous five year battle with cancer Nancy went home to be with her Lord in Glory. Nancy passed away on December 28th, 2009 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital with her family by her side. Nancy was born in Moncton on March 25th, 1947 the daughter of the late Bob & Olive "Rusty" (Rodgers) Black. Nancy was a graduate of University of New Brunswick and received her Masters in Education from the University of Moncton. She had a long teaching career with School District 2, teaching at Riverside Consolidated and Hillsborough Elementary. After retiring from teaching Nancy started her own small business Hilltop Flower Farm and became known as the Sunflower Lady at the Moncton area farmers markets. Over the years Nancy helped out with many organizations and boards and was always willing to help and give in any way she could. Nancy was also a member of the First Hillsborough Baptist Church and continued to worship with her church family regularly through her long battle with cancer. She was a special lady who will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. She was a devoted mother and will be deeply missed by her children, Diane MacKenzie (Steve) of Metropolis, Illions and Scott Tingley (Nancy) of Hillsborough and by her cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Evan, Jack and Mariah; brothers, Robert Black (Lois) of Riverview and Dennis Black (Barb) of British Columbia; brother-in-law, Brian Tingley (Sue) of Riverview. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and good friends. The family will be meeting with relatives and friends for sharing of memories at the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 6th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service and a celebration of Nancy's life will be held at the First Hillsborough Baptist Church on Thursday, January 7th, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dean MacDonald officiating. The interment will be in the Curryville Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, First Hillsborough Baptist Church or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to thank the many family and friends who visited, brought cards and food, and drove Nancy to her many appointments over the years. Your love and kindness will not be forgotten.
