GAGNON, JOSEPH ARTHUR LIONEL - 1930-2010 - Joseph Arthur Lionel Gagnon, 79 years, of Irishtown passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7th, 2010 at The Moncton Hospital. Born October 7th, 1930 in Quebec City he was the son of the late Jean Jules and Rose Gagnon. Lionel had served with the RCAF from 1952 - 1972 and from 1974 to his retirement in 1981 he was a Driver Examiner with the Province of New Brunswick. Lionel was predeceased by his beloved wife Colette in 1999 and a loving son Gary in 1977. Lionel leaves to cherish his memory his four children, son Ron Gagnon of Edmonton, Alberta, daughters Brenda Blanchard (Frank) of Dieppe, Cheryl-Ann Gagnon (JR Melanson) of Irishtown; and Kim Thorogood (Troy) of Burton, NB, his grandchildren Kyla, Tisha, Shannon, Siobhan, Tara and Garion, several great grandchildren as well as one sister Marguerite Turgeon of LaPrairie, QC. In keeping with Lionel's wishes there will not be any visitation or funeral service.
