BOURQUE, ELOI - (1936-2010) - RICHIBUCTO, NB - Eloi Bourque 73, of Richibucto passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, St. Anne de Kent on Saturday, January 9th, 2010. Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Sara (Richard) Bourque. Before retiring, Eloi had been employed at Lounsbury's in Richibucto for 36 years as a car repair man (bodyman). Eloi was an avid bingo player and hockey fan and he enjoyed gardening and fishing. Eloi will be sadly missed by his wife, Doloris (Gallant) Bourque; three daughters, Diane Quirion (Daniel) of Moncton, Odette Gallant (Jacques) of Richibucto, Gisèle Bourque of Moncton; one son, Louis-Emile Bourque (Hazel) of Aldouane; five precious grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Marie-France, Kimberly, Jean-Denis and Stéphanie; one sister, Lila Hébert (Raymond) of Bouctouche; two brothers, Fernand Bourque (Corinne) of Shediac, Normand Bourque (Florine) of Grande-Digue; one sister-in-law, Marie-Louise Bourque (late Laurie) of Cocagne, and many nieces and nephews. Eloi was predeceased by two sisters, Jeanette and Dolores and one brother, Laurie. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Wednesday at noon until departure for the Funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 13th, 2010 at 2:00 pm, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Stella Maris Hospital Palliative Care Unit or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
