GALLANT, ARTHUR - Arthur Gallant, 50, of Haute Aboujagane passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at The Moncton Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 19, 1959 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Albert and Olive (LeBlanc) Gallant. With his contagious smile and handshake, Arthur will be sadly missed by his loving family, three sisters, Dorilla Gallant of Boucherville, QC, Thérèse Bourque (late Ronald) of Cocagne, Hélène Gautreau (Georges) of Pré d'en Haut; five brothers, Clorice (Steve) of Québec, Éric (Esther) of Repentigny, QC, Donald (Patricia) of Cap Pelé, Hubert (Claire) of Dupuis Corner, and Louis (Louise) of Haute Aboujagane; and by many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. As a truck driver, Arthur had the opportunity to travel throughout North America. He was also a real estate agent with Hawkins Realty. His true passion was playing his guitar and performing as a singer and songwriter. He was also a former hockey player. As per his personal request, there will be no visitation. Cremation under the direction of Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297). Funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11 am.
