HACHEY, GERTRUDE (MURDOCH) - Gertrude Hachey (nee Murdoch), of Moncton, NB , passed away at the Moncton Hospital on December 27, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Born in Loggieville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Marie (Brideau) Murdoch. She is survived by her sister, Edna Donahoe of Oakville, ON; sisters-in-law Mary Ann Murdoch of Omaha, Nebraska, Janine Murdoch of Kitimat, BC, Jean Murdoch of Halifax, NS, Margaret Murdoch of Fredericton, NB; brother-in-law Frank Fagan of Moncton, NB; also by many nieces and nephews in Canada and in the US. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters Katherine Fagan and Geraldine LeBlanc; brothers Dr. Albert, James, Patrick, Thomas and Dr. Fred Murdoch; brothers-in law Richard Donahoe and Lelice LeBlanc. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 am. In keeping with Gertrude's wishes, there will be no visitation. A reception will follow the funeral mass. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Loggieville, NB, in the spring.
