CLAUDE M. TAYLOR
TAYLOR, CLAUDE M. - Claude M. Taylor, 87, of Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton and formerly of Shediac Bridge, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, January 22, 2010. Born in Shediac, he was the son of the late Milton and Jane (Sheridan) Taylor. Claude was a former partner of T.K. Printing Ltd., Moncton, member of Lewisville Baptist Church, former choir member, former Sunday school teacher and former member of the Keenagers Seniors Group. He was a Veteran of the Second World War having served overseas from 1942-45 with the Canadian Navy in Europe and the Pacific area. Claude enjoyed sailing in Shediac Bay, enjoyed Big Band music, was an active badminton player in past years, savored time spent in Florida with his wife Helen, but first and foremost, he thoroughly enjoyed spending precious time with his family and friends. Claude will be sadly missed by his daughters, Susan McConnell (Robert), Stratford, PE; Cathy Mills (Norman), Dieppe; sons, Martin (Diane), Montague, PE; Stuart (Penny), Sussex; Chris (Jacqueline), Shediac Bridge; 12 grand- children; several great grandchildren; sister, Jane Shaw, Nepean, ON; brothers, Charles (Barbara), Saint John; Albert (Angie), Huntsville, ON; Allen, Shediac Cape; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, predeceased by his wife, Helen Taylor (December 2009) and his brother, Ivan. In keeping with Claude's wishes there will be no visitation. Celebration of Life Service for Claude to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday, January 27, 2010, 11:00am. Rev. Gordon MacLeod officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. In Claude's memory, donations to Lewisville Baptist Church Building Fund, Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or memorial of choice would be appreciated by the family.
