MARR, CHARLES OLIVER - Charles Oliver Marr of Riverview passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 24, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Born October 28, 1933 in Saint John NB, he was the son of the late Ira and Annie (Saunders) Marr. Charlie retired as a comptroller from Crawford Housewares. He was adherent to the Riverview Baptist Church, a member of the Albert County Hunters Association and was a guide for several years, an avid hunter and fisherman. Charlie enjoyed spending time watching classic movies, especially those featuring John Wayne and James Cagney. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Alta (Willis) Marr, daughter, Andrea Storm (Nick) of Port Hope ON., two sons Glendon (Kim) of Riverview, Gordon (Denise) of New Glasgow, sisters; Marilyn Roberts (Fred), Pearl Board, Jean Fry, Bernice Fletcher and Winnifred Homer, a brother, Kenneth Sleigh (Josephine), grandchildren Benjamin, Tyler, Spencer, and was dearly looking forward to the arrival of his new grandchild. Besides his parents he was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. The family will be receiving friends and visitors at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Wednesday, January 27th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, the funeral service will be held at Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 28th, 2010 at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Bill Parks officiating. The internment will take place at Alderwood Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
