COOKE, MEDLEY M. - Medley M. Cooke, 97, of Moncton, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, February 7, 2010. Born in Cookeville, he was the son of the late Murray and Greta (Read) Cooke. Medley was a retired District Supervisor with NB Power with 40 years service. He was a member of Lewisville Baptist Church where he served on various boards and committees within the church and was a member of the NB Power 25 Year Club. Medley enjoyed watching hockey and baseball and spending precious time with his family. Medley will be sadly missed by his daughter, Diane Setchell (Frank), Rothesay; son, Allan (Mary), Moncton; grandchildren, Shawn (Gerrianne), Rebecca (Greg), Tracey and Troy (Natalie); great grandchildren, Michael, Allison, Benjamin, Christopher, Cate, Laura and Wyatt; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Reta (Buck) Cooke (February 7, 2004); brothers, Norman, Laurie, Herman and sister, Clematis. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
