SMITH, PHYLLIS AUDREY - 82, of Hillgrove passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at her home. Phyllis, born October 17, 1927 in Hillgrove was a daughter of the late Foster and Gertrude (Collier) Davis. She was a homemaker, a member of Hillgrove Baptist Church and former member of the Missionary Society and choir. Phyllis was also a member of the Gerifitness Club and former volunteer at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home. She will be missed by her children Douglas (Debbie) of Petitcodiac, Brian (Vera) of Hillgrove, Barbara Melvin (Gary) of Colpitts Settlement and Sheila Surrett (Larry) of Petitcodiac; grandchildren Kami, Ben (Megan), Wendy (Mike), Billy Joe (Alysia), Luke, Kim (Travis), Lori (Trevor), Melissa (Larry), Mike (Laura); great grandchildren Reese, Dalton, Matthew, Delbert, Braden, Josh, Taylor, Melissa, Cody, Ashton, Hayden and Baby Surrett; sisters Vera (Toby) Dempsey, Elsie Tower, Gladys Smith and Helen Jones (Ron); several nieces and nephews and a very special cousin Roland Davis of Petitcodiac. Predeceased by husband Harris (Bolt); brother Norman Davis and sisters Marie Chapman, Ethel Drury, Mildred Mullins and Edna Kaye. Resting at Hillgrove Baptist Church with visitation Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 pm with Pastor Derek Geldart officiating, assisted by Rev. Jim French. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Phyllis memorials to the Gideons or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
