BOURGET, ALAIN - 1954 - 2010 - Alain Bourget, 55, of Dieppe, passed away on Monday, February 8th 2010, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Cap d'Espoir, QC, he was the son of Yolande (née: Cloutier) and the late Léo Bourget. Mr. Bourget was a 1979 graduate of Université de Moncton with a Bachelor of Physical Education and obtained his Master's in Education in 1988. He was employed by School District 1, having taught locally at Beauséjour, Anna Malenfant and L'Odyssé schools. He also taught evening classes at l'Université de Moncton. He was a soccer enthusiast having played with The Pumphouse Brewery and the Rovers. He enjoyed life, nature and had a passion for travel. He also found time to coach soccer and basketball and was involved with the Jeux d'Acadie and the student travel exchange program. Besides his mother Yolande of (Anse à Beaufils) Percé, QC, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Denise (née: Bertin); his children: Julie, Stéphanie and Simon, all three attending Université de Moncton; six sisters: Manon of Boisbriand, QC, Joëlle (Thierry Haroun), Hélène (Michel Langlois) and Suzanne (Richard Cain), all three of Percé, QC, Marjolaine of Grande Rivière, QC and Hélène Cloutier (Pascal Robitaille) of Québec, QC; five brothers: Réal (Suzie LaPierre) of Québec, QC, Jean-Paul (Louise Lefebvre) of Gaspé, QC, Serge, Stéphane (Line Trudel), both of Percé, QC and Sébastien (Lynda Bilodeau) of Saint-Damien, QC as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901), on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Saturday, February 13th 2010, at 10 am. Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation "Tree of Hope" or École Odysée "Alain Bourget Bursary Fund" would be appreciated by the family.
