Camille W. Léger, 73, of Cormier Village passed away on February 24, 2010 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a lengthy illness. Born June 25, 1936 in Cormier Village, he was the son of the late William and Émilienne (LeBlanc) Léger. Camille will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Albertine (Cormier) Léger, two daughters: Lucie LeBlanc (Eudore) of Petit Cap and Linda Fagan (Yvon) of Trois Ruisseaux, two sons: Marcel (Gisèle) of Grand Barachois and Donald (Laura) of Robichaud; five sisters: Doris Comeau of Shediac, Cecile Cormier of Grand Barachois, Marie Mai LeBlanc (Mathias) and Monique Jacob (Richard) both of Cap Pelé and Yvonne Bourque of Trois Ruisseaux; eight grandchildren and by many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by two brothers: Émile and Emery and by five sisters: Laura, Janita, Aurelda, Irène and Aurore. Camille was a farmer and carpenter prior to his retirement. As a horseman, he enjoyed his horses, trips to the camp and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 1st degree, Council #10251 Père Edgar T. LeBlanc of Grand Barachois and the Grand Barachois Golden Age Club.
Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap Pelé (577-3297) on Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Saint Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand Barachois. Interment in Ste. Thérèse d\'Avila R.C. Cemetery, Cap Pelé.
