Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Center, on February 25th, 2010, after a short illness, in the presence of his family and friends, James Thistle, at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by his parents John and Adelaide; his first wife Anne (1981) and Sybil (2008); sisters Edith, Elsie, Hilda, Frances and Lilly; brothers Tom and George; and his granddaughter Maurita. Leaving to mourn children: Karen (Rafe), Ron (Jose) and Maxine; also his step-daughter Betty Ann (Toronto); grandchildren; Ken (Michelle), Margie, Kerry, Ann Marie; step-grandchildren: Jennifer and Julie; great-grandchildren: Makayla, Claire, Melissa, Dillon, Zachery, Jordon, Madison, Giselle and Avah; brother Steve with whom he shared many happy times, also a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Health Science Center, Emergency Dept. and 4NA for their compassionate care of our Dad and a special thank you to Willa Cole for her generous support of the family during this difficult time.
