The passing of Sandra Ann MacLean, wife of John MacLean, of Fredericton, NB occurred on February 25, 2010 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on August 11, 1976 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of John “Jack” and Gisele (Martin) Weatherhead. Sandra was the Assistant Director/Finance for 12 years. She had her BBA, CMA and CPFA. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, the CWL, was a Sunday School Teacher and a former Leader with Sparks (Girl Guides of Canada). Her girls were her life.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her daughters, Madison and Allyson; brother, John Weatherhead (Rachel LeBlanc) of Fredericton and their daughter, Lexi; maternal grandmother, Alexina Martin – Violette (Gib) and the late Rino T. Martin; paternal grandmother, Eva MacLean and the late Rev. A.O. MacLean; mother and father-in-law, Ian and Willa MacLean of Fredericton; sister-in-law, Barb MacLean of Fredericton; several nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, John J. Weatherhead and Jean (Hugh) Dickeson.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 12 noon with Father John Jennings as celebrant. A Reception will follow. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date.
