STACKHOUSE, Ronald Wilmot - Ron Stackhouse devoted husband of Pat (Lloyd) Stackhouse of Grove Hill passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday February 25th surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born 1953 in Saint John to the late Gordon and Norma (Howe) Stackhouse. Ron worked most of his life within the construction industry. He coached track and field for a number of years. Ron, like his father and grandfather, enjoyed working with wood and in his later years taught himself the art of woodturning including bowls, candlesticks, vases, etc. He also loved spending time with family and friends. Besides his loving wife Pat, Ron is survived by his sons Ronald Howard (Dorothy) of Quispamsis and William Powell (Ginette) of Moncton; one daughter Fawn Last (Bill) of Winnipeg, MB; step-son Chris Jones of Saint John and step-daughter Carrie Fox of Vancouver, BC; brothers Ken (Marilyn) of Wickham; Randy (Val) of Vancouver, BC; John (Debby) of Saint John and Camille (Margie) of Fredericton; sisters Claudia LeBlanc (Paul) of Saint John and Debbie Stephens (Doug) of Quispamsis; three precious grandsons Marshall, Hunter and Clark; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd, with visitation on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday March 1, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Private family interment to take place at a later date.
