It is with great sadness the family of Edward Harry “Ted” Burr announce his sudden passing at his home on Sunday, February 28, 2010. Born in Toronto he was the son of the late Kenneth and Viola (McPhee) Burr. Ted was employed with N.B.C.C. for over 15 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially Hunting and Fishing. He also was a huge Harley Davidson Fan. Ted could fix anything and was always willing to help others. He always had a smile on his face and waved to everyone, but his true passion was his loving children. He will be greatly missed by his children Christopher, Matthew, Alisha and their mother Karen Burr all of Saint John; sister, Jeanette Dunn, Saint John; half brother, Douglas Graves, Saint John; half sisters, Jeanette Walton, Newfoundland; Bonnie Graves, Saint John; Tammy Woodard, Quispamsis and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Ronnie Burr, sister Rose Graves and best friend Dave Martin.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West (634-1701) on Wednesday and Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. from Saint Rose of Lima. Interment to follow in Cedar Hill Extension. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or charity of one’s choice.
