The passing of Wesley Theodore Howe occurred on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 26, 1946 in Lower Derby, NB, he was the son of the late Theodore and Edith (Jardine) Howe. He retired as an Automotive Detailer. Wesley was crazy about cars, he loved hockey, enjoyed watching television and was a good goaltender in his day. Wesley is survived by his companion, Ellen Elliotte; sons, Shawn Howe (Jenny) of New Castle, NB and Trevor Howe (Sammy) of Calgary, AB; grandson, Liam Howe; sisters, Linda Morrison (Rick) and Sylvia Smith (Merlin) both of Fredericton, NB; brothers, David Howe (Judy) of Fredericton, NB, Darrell Howe (Joanne) of Victoria, BC and Larry Howe (Pam) of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Wesley was predeceased by his brother, Gordon Howe.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 2 pm with Steve Hazzard and Rev. Harlyn Purdy officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Mike Stubbs, Colin Storey, Steven Arbeau, Ken Smith, John Slipp and Chris Howe. Interment will take place in Dayton Cemetery at later date.
