Smith, Florence Gertrude - 92, of Berwick, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Canaan Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Urena (Whalen) MacDonell. Florence was a member of the Berwick Baptist Church, Central Kings Crusaders Seniors Club, Berwick Senior’s Club and the last President of the Women’s Institute of Berwick. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, knitting and spending time with her family. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Florence is survived by daughters, Betty Jean Smith, Berwick, Sharon (Tom) Beardsley, Kingston; son-in-law, Ronald Carty, Somerset; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, She was predeceased by her husband, Victor; son, Ronald(Eileen); daughter, Cora Carty; sister Christina Amero and son-in-law, Rod MacIsaac. There was no visitation. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010, in the H.C.
