Alyre Bourgeois of Cap Pele and formerly of College Bridge passed away on Saturday March 6, 2010 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital at the age of 89. Born February 7, 1921 in College Bridge, he was the son of the late Dominique Bourgeois and the late Philomene Belliveau. He worked as a cement finisher for Abbey Landry Construction for 41 years. He loved doing wood work, going to car shows and his Montreal Canadiens. He is survived by his three daughters Armelle (Jean-Yves) Bourgeois of St-Rene de Matane, Denise (Roger) Saulnier of Cap Pele and Noella (Patsy) Bourgeois of Shediac, two sons, Leo-Paul (Francoise) of Moncton and Oscar (Nancy) of Dieppe, one sister, Rosaline (late Adolphe) LeBlanc of Moncton, one brother Leandre (Marguerite) of Shediac, eight grandchildren: Monette, Mathieu, Marcia, Ginette, Marcel, Daniel, Stephanie and April, five great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Leola, one great grandchild Anthony, six sisters Florence, Maria, Rosanna, Corinne (Sr Nathalie), Albertina and Eva and by five brothers Emile, Edgar, Eddee, Lucien and Valerie.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Monday March 8 from 7 to 9 pm, Tuesday March 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday March 10 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Thomas de Memramcook RC church, St-Joseph on Wednesday March 10 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
