Steve gave many years of his life to the Pleasant Bay Volunteer Fire Department, as a team member and as Fire Chief, and was truly dedicated to his community. Steve’s greatest passion in life was his children and he has been known to be seen at many arenas throughout the province. The boys’ love of hockey was radiated from their dad and he truly was one of the best hockey dad’s ever. Steve had several hobbies and one of his favourites was his love of stock car racing that he shared with his brother Charlie. For several years if Steve or Charlie had to be located you could be sure to find them under the hood of their beloved car. Another fond hobby of Steve’s was music and until he became ill he loved to play his guitar and drums. His best buddy Arlie and he would round up the boys for a jam session and the kids often got lulled to sleep by the laughter and great tunes coming from the basement. Steve also enjoyed doing woodwork and carving and spent tireless hours on his many projects. Steve’s children will all treasure their memories and the many hours they spent with the man they are so proud to call Dad!
